Jochen Gareth

Jochen Gareth, real name Jan Němec, was born on 29.11.1990 in Prague, but he grew up and lives his whole life in the west of Bohemia. Since kindergarten he went to music school and played first recorder and then switched to trumpet. At the age of fifteen he stopped, but during that time he won several regional competitions and had the opportunity to join a children's orchestra. But that ended with puberty. He first got into dance music in 1998 when he heard the CD AQUY: Aquarium. Slowly other artists from the radio like Silver, Lasgo, Aquagen, Scooter, Paul van Dyk and others were added. He slowly got into trance in 2003 when he heard Tiesto for the first time. After that, it started to gradually pick up. In 2010 he slowly started playing at home via Virtual Dj and recorded 100 episodes of his "show" TranceMax under the alias Jan van Gareth. But in 2019 came the turning point, he got his first console, changed his NICK to the current one and started recording his radio show under the name The Power Of Sounds, which is regularly broadcast on Trance-Energy Radio. For the first time he had the opportunity to play in a club on his home turf in Pilsen, the following year in Prague and gradually the events started to grow. In 2021, he started working with the Pilsen club WATT and now he has his resident night TRANCE RITUAL there. He's still working his way up to production, but he's already done a few mashups. His biggest achievements are winning several awards. In 2022 and 2023 he won 1st place in the Bass Awards in the CZ/SK DJ category and 1st place in the Trance.cz DJ category.
