Receiving emails after cancelling subscription to a thread

I'm getting a ton of new post notification emails from the Day 6 EOYC thread even though I unsubscribed to it. I tried re-subscribing and changing delivery to through my control panel only, and then cancelling the subscription again, but that didn't stop the emails which are still coming into my mailbox. Feeling a lot like spam at this point. Please help?
