okey, but that's the "new task" shortcut? :|First try this:
-Open Task Manager (usually Ctrl-Alt-Del does this, not sure about Vista)
-Processes tab
-Find explorer.exe. Click on it to select it, then click End Process.
-After you have confirmed you want to kill the process, then still in Task Manager, click the File menu -> New Task, and type explorer.exe and click OK.
-See if your tray icons are back. If not, check the page linked below and see if that helps.

If you fixed it via the "kill explorer.exe, then re-run explorer.exe" steps, then you might have to do that every time you reboot your computer. I don't understand the details of what is causing the problem and how that fixes it, but the page where I found those instructions said some people have to do that again every time they reboot. If so, that sucks. But I guess it's better than it not working at all.
