Yeah, I have always been a big fan of Pete Tong. He was the first modern dance music dj I ever listend too. Infact he was practically the only one playing modern dance music on uk radio apart from Danny Rampling back in the day in the mid to late nineties when I first got interested in this kind of music
massive sounds
Dutch ( national, non-commercial ) radio has grown from good to pretty disappointing. The commercial stations vary incredible :dontknow: A thing I don't like at àll ( decently speaking ) is those DJ's / presenters re-presenting their favorites ( over 2 or even 3 decades long ) while at the same time ignoring other music. Indifferent to the audience : several popular tracks "hits" included )

Well, Uk national radio i'm talking the BBC has never been that good at promoting modern dance music especially during the day. At night at the weekend is a little better but basically nobody plays the kind of stuff we might hear on here in any great quantity, i'm talking trance. The commercial stations are not that much better really and even on tv even on MTV Dance you never hear or see what we hear on here. Sad, really.

armin van buuren & dj shah (ft. some guy) - going wrong
my regular listening shifted completely in 2004 - to the internet ( deserted island as a first, pretty soon followed by Afterhours.FM. Yet every once in a while I tried the trad. radio stations - if it wasn't for the news ( both country- as worldwide news )
armin van buuren & dj shah ft chris jones - going wrong Great track.
I also found deserted island basically around the same time and used to listen a lot before joining. Afterhours though was a total chance. I was just searching for other trance music playing stations and came across this place. But there are others too. I find new places all the time to listen to, some better than others. Its surprising how many of the djs on here are playing sets on other stations too.
