Oh and BTW2 Umek has another great new track out together with Beltek. It's called 'Back in the race'. They took that uber generic uplifting trance deggadegga rhythm, slowed it down considerably and turned it into a driving techno production, a big tip for next month's show!

hi everyone, tuning in a bit late :)

One of the great (production nerdy) moments of my life when I touched the synth which was used to make the crazy rising noise in the original of 'Age of Love'. It was very much like playing with Elvis' guitar if you'd be into rock:)

I remember you playing Age of Love during the 23hrs party, it was the first time I heard it in a club. I went nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuts.

Btw you guys probably don't know this as it was way before your days but that Umek OMGWTF track is actually based on 'Native love', an old 1982 Bobby Orlando production for a rather controversial transvestite artist named 'Divine'. Bobby Orlando was one of the high energy pioneers from the early eighties and was also the guy who wrote and produced the original version of West End Girls, the track that kick started the Pet Shop Boys.

Check out this video, it's rather hilarious

My fave Bobby Orlando bassline is 'She Has A Way' as used in Klatsch!'s-God Save The Queer.
