06. Man With No Name: Sugar Rush (Astrix Remix)

OK... one of my alltime Top 40 tracks remixed here with one of my top 20 current producers. Astrix takes a surpisingly "usual" trance route here but I'm 100% into this and it is still a fresh sound in the more typical trance soundscape even if it's a departure from Astrix's usual psy sound. The original is THE one for me but this is still a valid update for 21st century.

Real Name: אסטריקס / Avi Shmailov


He was born in Georgian USSR in Caucasus on 05/12/1981 and grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel 1992 as a Mountain Jew. He began recording music under the name Astrix in 1997, sometimes misconceived to be taken from the "Asterix" comic books.

Me too! He was definitely ahead of his time in 1995. Also super nice dude. Made a radio interview with him in a taxi on the way to Helsinki airport

07. Timewave: Relentless

Alongside Envotion Timewave is one of my favorite fresh producers from the recent years. He combines very nice to psyish sound with some more typical prog and trance production. 'Relentless' is IMHO his finest moment till date and just demands to be played in a big warehouse like environment. I think we'll hear great things from this producer in the future. One more promising talent in John 00 Fleming's growing J00F roster.
