and just because a dj puts out killer mix, they've then inadvertently raised their own bar - so whatever follows is "expected" to go higher. but if dj experiments, as creative must, then some of those experiments will not necessarily work out... then come the critics!!
Exactly, and fans/listeners expect more and better and you have to work really hard in order to satisfy that hunger. That is why DJ'ing as a business is such cut throat! It's really hard to make it in and really hard to keep up. I have major respect for Armin since he decided to finish law school while DJ'ing. He was really thinking since he wasn't sure if his DJ career would actually take off. A really smart guy and a great DJ!
