The start was awfull, now it s decent and original :smile:I don't know your opinion but I like this set very very much
so I respect yours but wouldn't you agree that as much as it attracts listeners it may also alienate some? also, and again no offense, it'a mostly the same peeps voicing their opinions, so one has to be careful not to create little cliques.
even if you stay in the realms of uplift you have the vocal crew against the non-vocal gang for example, elsewhere the proggies against the uplifters.
like eLement, he sat thru a set that wasn't really to his taste but still found "elements" he liked.
then there are others who complained that tracks got overplayed - in that aspect I'm glad about the DJs you chose because they are the exception to the recipe but you've heard a lot of sets here where that wasn't the case, bigger names playing run of the mill tunes. that's why I picked up on your post because they "know" what is wanted but that leads us, or at least me, into boredom. I just wish people would at least make an effort and try to get into other stuff and not neglecting it straightaway.
AH says now after "We unite as one" "The Home of Trance".
I'm afraid that's more that just uplifting and taking the meaning of the sentence it would include Hard, Tech, Psy and Goa as well....all Trance.
 :noob:
yes is awesome for meThe start was awfull, now it s decent and original
of course, tastes change, but you're telling people to try and force themselves to change their tastes right now. and that's what you call tolerance and open-minded?you don't wear the same clothes everyday, you don't travel to the same spot every year (or do you??) , man doesn't live off bread alone and opinions like that are stagnation, not evolution.
ajam pero no deberia ser asi xDDDDDDDDDDDDD, es todo cuestion de extremos.. se puede aceptar kizas el hard al igual k se puede aceptar el progressive house
while i agree with you on most points, i can't agree on the last one "this genre isn't conceived for listening in front of your PC and posting away"...this is radio and there are a lot of tracks and ways to build a set that would be appropriate and exciting for the "chair ravers"
One of the things about having events like this is that you get a lot of people posting who are not normally in the threads everyday. What your getting most days is a regular crew of people posting. And even though it probably would be nice if their tastes widend the fact is as I said that the biggest response is for uplift. And the quietest response is for prog. This leads me to believe that more uplift the better. I'm not against different styles myself. But I would prefer if they had seperate channels like the other place for it. But that's not going to happen here. So we have to live through the mixture to find what we really want. I know its sounds very narrow and I totally understand what you say. But its difficult to know what else to say about it:dontknow:

Hey aakos
I like uplift and progressive, while both are trance (and not crap) i dont see why we would separate them :dontknow:...I said that the biggest response is for uplift. what is wanted, as you have pointed out yourself tastes are different.
so I disagree.
if all followed your set pattern it would kill all variety and the chance of listeners to expand their horizons.
this is no criticism of the DJs you mentioned, just the way you described what is important to you is a formular with little longetivity.
are you creative for yourself or for your "market"?
