biog-pic.jpg

The UK based Genix has built up a reputation as one of the freshest dance artists with his cutting edge production and DJ sets...

Now a familiar name on the biggest linups around being on the same bill as the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn, Judge Jules to name a few Genix has shot to fame after years of DJing across the UK and releasing some quality productions on the biggest dance labels around.

in 2005 Genix put his name in lights by achieving a Guiness World Record for the longest DJ set in history with a massive 84 hour DJ set!! Whilst raising money for charity his name got printed in the worlds most published book!

His DJ career has taken him across the globe... playing at some of the most elite clubs around. With numerous sets across the uk and in China, Russia, Europe and Ibiza's Judgement Sunday's. He is resident DJ for UK superclub Passion where the worlds most famous DJ's such as Armin, tiesto, PVD etc appear on a monthly basis alongside Genix and fellow resident JFK.

On the production side of things... Genix has develoved his own sound. A fusion of Tech, Trance, Proggressive and electro sounds... its hard to define the Genix sound but you know when you hear it! Groovy and infectious basslines and stomping beats combine with uplifting and electronic elements... His productions are showcased by the elite DJ's and on major radio stations such as Galaxy and the BBC, ASOT, TATW and Tiesto's Clublife.

Genix has put his remix fingers to work on some huge tracks... Remixing for Markus Schulz (Fly To Colors), M.I.K.E., Agnelli and Nelson, Jan Johnston. He also remixed the massive 'Waiting 4' by the Red Hot Chilli Pepper's. This got released on ministry of sound and was a huge hit on BBC radio 1 before the original got released into the uk charts!

Genix released his debut track on Reset Records titled Phused which was followed up with more huge tech releases on the dutch super label. Genix now releases his work on spinnin but has remixed for other labels such as Nebula, Armada, Maelstrom, Ministry Of Sound plus many many more.

2008 also was the year when he was Judge Jules Big Tip! After production support from the uk legend he made him his top tip and featured him on BBC radio 1 with a guest mix and a interview.

Genix is a huge talent with his DJ and production skills...but he also has his feet deep in the music indutry in other ways... he is the owner of UK trance record label TRR (Trance Revolution Recordings) and also is the promoter for Passion in the UK delivering huge clubnights the the faithfull followers!

Marcos Bio:

Marcos, real name Mark Dearden, is established as one of the UK's best know Trance producers. Having written and remixed a staggering number of tracks over the years, he has forged himself an excellent reputation as a top quality producer, remixer and DJ.

As a DJ, mark has performed world wide at all of the biggest events including GodsKitchen, Gatecrasher, Passion, Dance Valley, Slinky, Inside Out, GoodGreef, Promise, The Gallery, Escape, Peach, Slide and many more. Performances in Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Holland, Germany, Poland, Ibiza, Canada, Ukraine and not forgetting all over the UK, are just a small example of how far and wide his music has appealed.

In terms of production, Cosmicstring can be considered one of the most successful trancers of the past few years. Originally signed to Blue Print Audio in the UK, it was quickly picked up and signed to then world no.1 DJ Paul Van Dyk's Vandit Records, and was PVD's track of the year 2005. The B-side to this, Just For A Day was also a big success in it’s own right, featuring in many top DJ’s playlists and appearing on scores of compilation albums.

In 2006, Marcos - Ad Infinitum, was signed to Armin Van Buuren's A State Of Trance label, and Mark has also remixed several Apogee tracks for the same imprint. The follow up to Cosmicstring, Summer Solstice, was also signed to Vandit and his work has appeared on Drizzly, Druck, Captivating Sounds, Combined Forces, Cloud 9 Dance, Instant Music, Lange Recordings, Nu Life, 90 Degrees North, Bulletproof and too many more to list.

2007 saw Marcos launch his own label, Kerf Music, with his track ‘Time To Believe’ and sign exclusively to Cloud 9 Dance in Holland. Time To Believe was a hit with the major DJ’s across the world, with numerous compilation licenses before the official release date and appeared on DJ Scot Project’s cover CD for a major dance music magazine. Mark also remixed Tantra – Blitz to great acclaim, being played on John Askew’s Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 and appearing on several compilations around the globe.

In 2008 Marcos – Reality scaled the trance charts heights reaching no.5 in the Beatport download chart and staying in the top 10 for several weeks on many of the biggest download stores. Tiesto was a big supporter of the track, playing it repeatedly on his radio show, and with many other top DJ’s giving it a massive reaction. The track was also licensed to numerous CD compilations. Mark’s remix of Kiholm – Journey into Love was picked up by John O’Callaghan and licensed to his DJ Compilation album for Armada Music and also appeared on GodsKitchen’s 10th Anniversary CD Compilation.

Mark decided 2008 was the time was right to revisit Cosmicstring, this time teaming up with Emi Jarvi who worked on Jon O’Bir’s album on Vandit, and produced a vocalised remix ready to explode in early 2009 on Combined Forces/Cloud 9 Dance.

Other high profile projects include remixes for Ian Van Dahl, Dumonde, DJ Scot Project, Talla 2XLC, Andy Bagguley, Mike Robbins, JK Walker, Des Mitchel, Divine Inspiration and Svenson. With Mark’s tracks licensed to hundreds of compilations across the world and radio sessions as well, Mark's ability to light up hi-fi' speakers as well as dance floors is unquestionable.

Med & Neil Bamford Bio:

l_309db354d253425b9be36259c692c070.jpg

The UK based Duo of Chris Medlock ('Med') and Neil Bamford first collaborated in 2008 with their debut track 'One' being heavily supported by the likes of Ferry Corsten, Sean Tyas, Aly and Fila, Manuel Le Saux amongst many many more. What started as a one off collaboration quickly grew into something more. A remix of Manuel Le Saux's 'Dissidia' was quick to follow on the infamous Bonzai label and their second original track 'Stolen' was promptly picked up by Infrasonic, this second original track and the ideas of many future ones came together and what started as a long standing friendship is rapidly cementing what is now becoming a prolific partnership.

Separately the two have played alongside some of the most respected DJs around, most recently playing alongside DJ Shar and Nitrous Oxide and in such legendary venues as Ministry of Sound in London.

DJ wise the two ultimately strive in delivering the best in uplifting and driving trance and although their production styles caters for the uplifting side of trance, their sets can be expected to feature some tracks at the more progressive end of the spectrum to set the mood.
