Every day there is a celebration for a different name. In Poland it's about 3 a day. So if for instance tomorrow was a Carlos' nameday every Carlos would have a 'birthday for his name'. It started because of celebration of different saints and people took over it for themselves. In Poland the older you get the more you celebrate your nameday over your birthday And if your nameday is more than once a year you pick the first one after your birthday. I have about 6 times, but because I was born on 22nd of June I celebrate the 36th of July which happens to be my parents' wedding anniversary as well
Now this is an interesting ritual!
In here, we are Hindus, and we have a big list of Gods and Goddesses. However, each day of the week in in the name of one particular God and people worship him on that day.
