He's about as close to God as the dance music scene has in the UK. He was one of the original 4 who first went to Ibiza back in 1986 (it was him, Danny Rampling, Nicky Blackmarket and the other guy who's name I always forget) and then decided to try and mimic the Baleric club scene of the time back in clubs in the UK. This was inbetween all his A&R work. Not satisfied with kickstarting an entire club-scene phenomenon he went onto produce some legendary albums (Happy Mondays anyone?) and with Steve Osbourne he made some of the finest dance music of the early 90's and was a genuine pioneer of the trance scene in England. His Perfecto label was arguably the best of that entire decade, and then you have to consider his DJ work. He brought of the Goa trance sound to the masses (including me), had a legendary 2-year residency at Cream during its heyday, before becoming the worldwide phenomenon he still is today.Could some one please clarify to me what Paul Oakenfold position in the trance industry? don't hear about him so much...
I'm almost 33 now, but thankfully my level of maturity averages me out to be in my early 20's or soHow old are you ?????????????
