not even professor in the Polish language know it fully, there used to be (or maybe still is) a show where people used to call in and ask what's grammatically correct and so on
but in communicating, well only takes a longer staying there or a polish spouse xD unless you're doing it the hard way, books

Books can give you the basics but you have to listen to the language to learn it. Especially in Polish when the differences are sometimes so slight. Like between 'sz' and 'ś' - both sound a lot like english 'sh' but there IS a huge difference in meanings.
