and :beat: for quoting long line of images

Thanks Dan:):friends:

Here's one I worked on..it was originally just practice at making a space scape..but I decided to plug in the AH logo..et voila..it doesn't look as good as professional space scapes..but it was all done from scratch on Photoshop..

Lightning/Plasma theme..

I like the background more in the first one and the text effects on the second one. You are getting very well with Photoshop, Tarek :good:

Thanks..slowly but surely..it's mostly because of tutorials that I find all these little tricks hidden here and there, but ultimately it's what you do with them that creates a masterpiece.

not a ah.fm wallpaper, but I thought someone might like it

Here is another wallpaper with 3D metallic logo, I have done mini sample here (post #25) and the thought to rework it and upscale it to a wallpaper size.

JPEG Format
Resolution 1280x800

Enjoy :friends:

Thanks a lot Tarek! really appreciate it:friends:

OK, for the logo, it is better to use a 3D graphics software, something like 3Dmax, Maya, 4D cinema..etc, a bit hard to use in the beginning, but very powerful when used along with Photoshop or other similar software.

I have done it with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks for engineering purposes) since its already installed on my PC, then I exported to Photoshop to add effects, adjust colours, apply masks and add the final touches, Done.

I was feeling a little colorful when I made this..messing with fluctuations with gradients.

Probably not the best wallpaper in the world.

Found this tutorial on stone textures here..looked awesome..unfortunately mine doesn't look as awesome..photoshop masking is confusing..

thing with tutorials, is that you may also need to work on the same size(resolution) in order to get the exact output.
I like this one, specially the lighting theme, I would just prefer to add more space between the characters, just enough for the bevel not to get melt/wrapped.
other than that, it is a nice one :grinning:

Yeah I guess you're right about the resolutions..the lettering's lack of spacing is because of the Expand and Feather functions. Also, it wasn't a Bevel that was used (or not directly at least). It was a Type Mask in a Texture layer that was brought out onto the main rock layer using the lighting effects. A bevel wouldn't look..as accurate lets say.

But again..what do I know..I'm just screwing around with PSD. I love it though !

Thanks for the comments! I'm always trying to work on the skills.

A new one I made recently..I did follow a tutorial for the background..but I love the result so I don't really mind :P
