It's supposed to provide affordable insurance coverage for all Americans. It does not. In fact, costs have gone up. I cannot afford insurance, and my employer no longer provides it because it was too expensive. So I do not have health insurance. I will pay the extra tax because of my lack of insurance. $95 this year. Goes to $265 next year. Up again the year after that. After that the tax is inde3xed to inflation. :P

In NL for instance, all employers don't háve :chair: the choice: they háve to have decent (health too LOL) insurancies. Same applies for people without a job. Everyone does have a health insurance, too those without a job.
 
Texas did not create its own Exchange, so we have to use Healthcare.gov. It's too expensive for me. $5000 deductible. Over $300/month. That's half my house note. Might as well have no insurance, it's the same. It works out great for some people in some states. For the rest of us, it's more expensive than any other bill in our lives. We can't afford it. :(:cat:
