In NL for instance, all employers don't hávethe choice: they háve to have decent (health too LOL) insurancies. Same applies for people without a job. Everyone does have a health insurance, too those without a job.
Texas did not create its own Exchange, so we have to use Healthcare.gov. It's too expensive for me. $5000 deductible. Over $300/month. That's half my house note. Might as well have no insurance, it's the same. It works out great for some people in some states. For the rest of us, it's more expensive than any other bill in our lives. We can't afford it.

a bit socialism does not hurt. In my view, USA goes the way India and China do: lower the wages, no tax, cheaper and cheaper. It's a way out ... exit. Countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark took quite the opposite way. Pretty wealthy countries, btw. Only Norway has oil
