In NL for instance, all employers don't háve :chair: the choice: they háve to have decent (health too LOL) insurancies. Same applies for people without a job. Everyone does have a health insurance, too those without a job.

Because costs went so sky high for employers, they dropped insurance all together. I have not had any health insurance for 8 years now. I only work 3.5 months a year. I can't afford to buy insurance at those rates. Period.

Texas did not create its own Exchange, so we have to use Healthcare.gov. It's too expensive for me. $5000 deductible. Over $300/month. That's half my house note. Might as well have no insurance, it's the same. It works out great for some people in some states. For the rest of us, it's more expensive than any other bill in our lives. We can't afford it. :(:cat:

a bit socialism does not hurt. In my view, USA goes the way India and China do: lower the wages, no tax, cheaper and cheaper. It's a way out ... exit. Countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark took quite the opposite way. Pretty wealthy countries, btw. Only Norway has oil

Shadows surround you
Where’s the smile I long to see
But on your face
What am I to do
In the end I only want to know you’re safe

So precious to lose
Impossible to hold
When you are worlds away
A thousand [?] of you
Who’d protect when you when the thunder reign

Maybe they’ll keep [?] on earth
Promise me you’ll never will be hurt
Maybe they’ll keep [?] on earth
Promise me you’ll never will be hurt

Shadows surround you
In the end I only want to know you’re safe
Maybe they’ll keep [?] on earth
Promise me you’ll never will be hurt

If they lower my wages any further, I won't get paid at all. I am currently earning exactly what I made in 1980.

Texas has LOTS of oil, but the price of gas has fallen way down. I'm currently paying only $1.89/gal. It's like getting a raise. I hope it lasts. It's not good for Texas, but it's great for me.

Ah yes! The American Dream of just getting by :|

Yeah. I was laid off in 2008. I went from $42K/year to $8K/year. With my side business, I made $16K last year. Just above poverty level. :P:cat:

Danmark. Did you notice that I ignored ThePig's snide comment about my voting habits? Conservative Libertarian Republicans like myself are polite. I'm almost Tea Party, but I'm too Libertarian for that. :cat:
