It's very important to have some music theory knowledge at the beginning... Or to try to learn some. Otherwise there are many tutorials over the net (and a lot of free vids by Airbase, SvD etc).

Yet it will if its good enough, send your best mix, about an hour and your bio and see what happens man :)

yes, you have 2 problems:

In your head you have the perfect sound which sounds like X but you can't make a sound that sounds like X xDDDDD

In your head you have a very complex melody which is a banger but when you've to put it on the programme you can't and after hours trying things you give it up because what you have it's not even similar to what you wanted.

if i won`t get picked i would be a bit dissapointed but at least i gave my best to my set and the other will be much better and that`s what counts the most
 
how about propelerhead reason? is it shitty to produce music?
