Reminded of Humming the Lights, which seemed to me to take forever for release.
 
I am on the east coast still , trying to maybe move to Toronto next year.

oO, that's quite the change in plans. From a trance perspective, Toronto is an amazing place to be, so at least you have that covered

I think sets nowadays have significantly more tracks in the same duration than they did in the Trance Golden Age, & I think this must be a bad thing.

I agree, unless the DJ does it with skills. I miss the time when a track was played from start to finish, even if it was 12 minutes long.

Before my time unfortunately. You literally mean that, in mixed sets they would play the entire track?

That's the other part of the issue, tracks were definitely longer. Longest newish track I know of is In Dreams with Betty. Great track, partly because duration. Gives you enough time to become entranced!

Yup, first beat to last. You'd use the first and last minute for the transition. Pretty much all the sets had 10 tracks an hour
