There's a few reasons. Particularly with Tritium, the original in my head sounds kind of Nuclear with the weird melody and synth. Reactor of mine also feels kind of Nuclear to me. Having said that mostly, it's because some of the Nuclear names for things sound kind of cool and it's a theme that allows for some good track names. I don't have a particular pressing interest in all things Nuclear, although I'm aware of them and the benefits/threats they bring to the world.
