and I'm expected to travel through 5 new cities on an unfamiliar system

If you get on the train in Amsterdam and travel to The Hague you only get to see Amsterdam and the Hague, the train is passing the other cities but you don't have to get out. Trainconductors are usually very helpful too. Hope you're looking forward to the party some more after esp. Hawkeyes helpful information!

Hi again,

before it is too late, I don't think I will be able to make it this time, Being in Amsterdam by 8th of April is not possible for me at all and It is my fault leaving things to the last minute.
I got the flight tickets and I really wanted to come and have the honour to meet all of you. I will learn from this and will be more serious and organized for next AH meeting, which I hope takes place soon :friends:

Hello all. The misses and I would like to come by the pre-party wherever it may be (hopefully collocated with booze) if there is still room. It sounds like there are a lot of people going already. Sign me up for one of those essential lanyard/mug combos as well. I'm flying in early AM on the 9th from Africa.

:welcome: to AH.FM

:megacrazy: all right ... will keep an eye out for helping you getting organised :friends:

I still have room for 1 or 2 people for those who want to sleep here!

Looks like Phillip Alpha won't make it but Kandi will probably come, :music:

I not sure what to say say about that. I was looking forward to meeting Phillip, in fact ANY of the many talented Afterhours DJ's. However I religiously listen to Daniel Kandi at least 4 songs every day, it would be an honor to meet him. I feel very privileged to be attending this party, just a few more weeks to go!!!

wanted to let all know I have ordered the mechandise and will bring it to the meeting. Whoever placed the order with me, you can pay @ the meeting. :)

cheers

Anyone have any idea how it will be with bars and such inside brabanthallen? How the pricing will be and if they accept cards or cash only?

I marked "Attending" on facebook as we most likely will show up if we're not to tired after Lumi and don't get lost on trains/buses :)

I assume the organization will be similar to other big events over here. This means you can buy tokens by cash or card (I suppose 2,50 euro per token) to pay for food or drinks.

That is a pity but I will not be able to come...

Small hint: there are no ATM machines anywhere near the Brabanthallen. Last time I was there, there were also NO ATM machines inside. To be on the safe side, get your money on Den Bosch central station. Also, foreign cards are not always accepted by Dutch ATM machines because we use another system for our cards.

Some do accept foreign cards but not all. It's also the other way round, when I was in London, it took me 6 attempts to find an ATM machine that took my card.

Is there other atm's around den bosch then if it doesn't work there, or better to find one in A-dam?

You don't have Visa or Mastercard on your card or is it the design of it?

Hey Hawkeye, hope you can help with a small question. I am staying at a hotel in Den Bosch called Movenpick which address is Pettelaarpark 90, 5216 PH Den Bosch
Im not sure of you know of that area, just wondering if it is walkable to the pre party or will i need to get a taxi. And also i imagine there will be lots of taxi's around after the event to get back to the hotel?

Most Dutch cards do have Visa and/or Mastercard some ATM machines don't support that. We have our own card system called PIN which is only used in Holland. It's a lot cheaper for retailers to use, that's why we still use it. In 2 years or so, Holland will start using the same system the rest of Europe has. Probably solve the ATM problem as well.

Here's a map of 3 ATM machines close to Den Bosch station. The middle one is probably not suitable for foreign cards. I'm not sure though.

That's no way near walking distance. You'll have to take a bus or taxi. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, bus 64 will take you to the station. It's the last stop, so you can't miss it. From the station it's a 5 minute walk to my place. I'm guessing there will be enough taxis at the Brabanthallen. If not, you can walk to the station (15 minutes or so). There are always taxis at the front of the station.

Sorry if someone already asked this but... Does Brabanthallen have lockers?? I plan on buying a few shirts that night and don't want to carry them and my jacket around. Thanks!!

Yes, but...

The 500 sold out VIP tickets have lockers, so if you bought one, you're good. I never use the lockers because I always have a cute backpack for our group's stuff, you could try that ;)

If anyone could help me get from Dam to DB, that would be awesome! I just heard that train line will be out (starting April 9th), and going around by train will now be 3hrs :(
TY!!
