Yeah. Generally biofuels are solving less problems they create. But it's a little more complicated. Food stocks are the lowest since 1970 around the world, demand is accelerating in various developing countries, add global warming to the equation and biofuels subsidies and... Houston! We've got a problem. :)

Biofuels/hydrogen cell/electric cars are the future ways to offset fossil fuel reliance...:wow:

MARTIN ROTH & ALEX BARTLETT |
OFF THE WORLD [lunatique records / vandit]

I'm above the shiver line

Where you let things come your way

I'm falling so

It triggers off my soul

I'm falling in…

Close up

I'm just lying on a feather now

I'm just flying across the

Ice field glass empire

You can follow me and take off high

I'm sliding off the world

I'm sliding off the world

I'm sliding off the world

I'm sliding off the world

The world could start using Ethanol instead of gasoline in cars....it would make the petrol barrell get much lower...:mask:

I don't agree. Real ethanol/methanol fuel efficiency is not proved. I think (I may be wrong) it's more like hydrogen. That it's efficient energy storage medium, but not fuel! What I mean is that energy used to create the fuel is higher than energy that could be retrieved from ethanol. It's certainly true for hydrogen, but I'm not sure about biofuels.

Exactly...and there´s a lot of space for both productions, agriculture and fuel production... the problem is with bad government...like here in Brazil, where lands are so badly used...

when i went to Brazil in holidays i recognized right away a car moved by alcohol, it stinks really badly :lol::lol:

We use ethanol for more than 20 years here in Brazil...:mask:..nowadays, we have a technology that allow cars to run both on Ethanol or Gas...they are now 60% of the cars in Brazil..

I don't agree. Hydrogen fuel cell is not energy source! It's only energy storage. And that means it's production is more energy intensive than the energy that could be gained from the fuel cell... The only way hydrogen can produce net energy is through thermonuclear fusion. And it's still off by 50 years or so.

Hydrogen means water, that's the future, there are cars moved by hydrogen already, but by now that technology it's too expansive yet

<stereotype mode on>

Well... I imagine that if in Poland all cars where moving on ethanol I could see hordes of drunken people around gas stations... :lolz: :lolz: :lolz:
