one of the earliest in my books .. .. .. ( igloo archives : off-line data )
Haa Haa ... true I guess
Haa Haa ... true I guess
Yeah I guess this is quite different on Afterhours.fm... Would Radio Unity have the lowest average BPMs on the channel?
2. Way Out West: Surrender (Eelke Kleijn Remix)
This is IMHO Eelke Klein's best production so far. Really taking WOW's nice original and taking into different level. Also heavy "old school Sasha & Digweed / Renaissance" vibe here. I could easily imagine this on a Dave Seaman GU compilation too. Hypnotic, melodic, driving, progressive trance... The vocal is super catchy and has been going in my head for weeks now.
Hi PictoHi Orkidea & Everyone else
3. Robert Babicz: Dark Flower (Fever Mix)
This has been around for a while and was been on the "shortlist" for Radio Unity couple months already but I just could find a good slot to fit it in the mix. These mixes are not just collections of best tracks from the past couple weeks thrown together but I rather try to build a one hour harmonic musical story out of the tracks where tempos and harmonic keys also play important role. That's why some really good tracks don't ever find their way to the mixes or some tracks come some time after the initial release. This is a very nice new take on the Babicz's anthemix track from couple years back. I'm still playing the Joris Voorn remix and this is kinda close to that but yet with a more housey and summery touch.
Hi Picto
4. Mark Knight & Funkagenda: Antidote (Original Club Mix)
It's nice to see minimalistic old school trance influences hitting the "Beatport mainstream" big time this year with tracks like this and Cirez D's 'Glow' being played by house, prog and even techno DJs. This is nice example how you can build a massive track from such small incredients. I guess Mark & Funkagenda were digging trance too in their early days...
