I know what you mean, I'm stuck with MS too just for the music apps. Live for Linux would be great and Sonar. But running them virtually is bad and causes probs. Still no reason to go the Mac route, so many freebees you're missing out on that are simply not written for Mac.
But thats personal preference and philosophy.

Nice link. :grinning:

i think more and more software is being made for Mac, when this one i have here now (PC Wndows based) will finish i will go for a IMac with no doubt:)

i'll give you an advise Sunny, if you want to buy a new one, go for a Mac:):)

Hello piccoli:hug: I would never have gone near a mac at one time. But now it comes with Garage Band so ive started to consider it as a possible option:grinning:

Oh thanx wailo:hug: I have the software in the house somewhere, the question is where. I never throw anything out like that so its here. But even if I had it i don't think I could get it to work because the machine wont start up properly. It just switch's its self off. Anyway i'm using this one now, so its not so bad. I'm not very good with anything technical. I leave it to my son but he's not here right now. But thanx anyway. I appreciate it:grinning:

no problem sunny :hug:

VMware ( virtual machines ) having performance issues ( some experience with @ work ) while the XEN alternative seems quite appealing to me. I intend to try things out on a free ( removable ) HDD ! :cap:

With Apple, I've got the firm impression, you buy something smart, reliable and fancy. But it's buying and ' forgetting ' the rest - you'd best buy a new Apple after a couple of years. Btw : did you read the foreword of the latest Sound-On-Sound magazine ? Home: Sound On Sound music recording technology magazine The author's story about transferring his software from an old Mac to a new one .. .. .. :) ( quote by heart : there's finnally light at the end of the tunnel - and hey ! it's not the light of a train running my way ! :lolz:

Great sounds here:super::super::super:
