i once had a heavily peated VERY young whiskey (only 3 years old) and it was delicious ..... speaking of speyside the famous 30yo apple brandy from ('rita') from nikka tastes almost like a old speyside whiskey , very delicious:

Don't have to go old age at all. Recently purchased an Arran 10, very decent and well priced.

the earlier mentioned glenlivit 1824 estd is very affordable for instance. the price winning chichibu the first is a single malt owning a lot of 21yo+ whskeys that;s the reason why the price increased since i bought that bottle
