I ignore comments about long transitions, that is for electro, trance used to be 10 minute tracks, hard choice between letting the beauty continue or to making it fit into a mix of an hour, trance changed, but some know what it was :wink:

And afterall that is the fun of mixing, in out is not

In the weekend i was even scratching my head as to why i have more than 23 tracks in my 2 hour mix session. The answer is obvious: the tracks are getting shorter every year.

On another note, thanks for listening to my mix :) Glad you liked it.

Yeah...sometimes I discover great trance tracks and wow! 5:30 long or something like that! For electro and that stuff is ok, but for a melodic track there's no time enough to enjoy the melody.

For my taste, a perfect trance track length nowadays should be between 7:30 and 9:00.

In my case it would be probably starting at 8mins and there won't be limit. I just love tracks, that slowly build up and provide a feeling of a journey.

Yeah man I noticed that skiping in the sound, it happened because I made a mistake when rendering on Cubase I had forgot to turn off the audiowrap this time... will keep it better on my mind, anyway thanks for cheking my set and rating :)

Distant Moon
The good: Sweet balance between instrumental and vocal tracks
The Bad: No flow in the mix, given very rough transitions.
Notes: Your sound card should be tweaked. Audible skips in audio were heard.
Overall: 3/5

Pkomar
The good: Great selection of tracks and mostly mixed in key. Nice technique as well.
The Bad: Just nitpicking here: Longer transitions would have made the mix smoother and unify the tracks as one.
Overall: 4.5/5

SoundBarrier

The good: Skillful mastering and mixing skills. Unique tracks complements the mix
The Bad: The transition between Signum - Third Dimension (Original Mix) [Armada Music Bundle] and Dreamy - Scar (Artra & Holland Remix) is quite lengthy, which decreases the flow at that one point.
Overall: 4.7/5

Thanks for cheking my set and rating, yes audio problem is because a forgotten "audiowrap" on Cubase when mastering and rendering the set. S*it happens :P

The Bad: More of a personal taste: A mix solely composed of classical tracks would have set the definition of the mix in stone.

The Bad: During some transitions, the bass was lowered way too much to the point of not feeling the bass at all when my subwoofer was asking for more beats :wink:

Tracks:
the choice of tracks + genre used + selection made
Mixing:
More the technical side, how far that is still technical, how far can you hear it, how does it fit in with next track, so purely about transistions ... some mix without sync, but difficult to find out... hmm
Flow:
the order you selected, if it gets boring, if the flow continues well or if there is a break that doesn't fit in or bpm has too big difference, if you start flying you got trance
