Perception? Hmmm once again few remakes of classics in this episode.

Yeah. Uplifting style has gotten really boring. More sets like this please :)
I think that the rarity is what makes sets like this so fantastic!:)

Another choon coming up!:rave:

Still I admire it and I am glad that I "found" you during last EOYC when listening this massive massive legendary set :bravo:

Before I never heard something about you... UNFORTUNATELY :)

Yor sets are like a massage for my ears in between the loads of Uplifting stuff:mask:

Thanks a lot for your kind words! Much appreciated and heart warming:)

03. Inkfish: Early Morning
This norwegian duo has also been around for ages but this year they've delivered quite a few biggies already. The promo hype text of 'Early Morning' promised "a summer bomb" which always sounds like a big promise to fulfill but this time it was true! One of this summer's best melodic prog tracks which seems to suit many different floors and times. Two weeks ago at Electronic Sessions boat party on Thames in London this was probably the highlight of my set. No idea what the lyrics say but love them!

Ohhh you should have seen him here in Delft (NL)!:) He was playing really really good! Ticon - 1987:):):choon:

Mr. Orkidea for sure. Darude, Orkidea and Super8 & Tab... I need to learn finnish lol

Ah....nice remake. Hope kept the massive breakdown

That's true also. When there aren't that many DJ's playing this kind of stuff, you don't get bored of hearing the same / similar tracks all the times.

Markus Schulz... my number 1 choice for the best DJ this year.

He is just... on FUEGO!

Perception? Hmmm once again few remakes of classics in this episode.

When they are good I like to bring back those timeless melodies to this generation too, when the remakes are bad I see nightmares and can't sleep at night;)

"you can see forever!!!" <3 mahtava biisi! :)

Like I said before...

uplifting is just not the same... or better yet, MORE of the same.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind listening to some uplifting and of course you always need uplifting when you're at a show.

But techy/progressive stuff is just a lot more sophisticated and it has taken over.

Uplifting just doesn't cut it anymore.
^This is exactly how I feel, especially about the things I bolded. Well said man! :bravo:

On topic: this might very well be my favorite track of the year... God, those Trance synths and pads, that melody and that driving bassline... Though for once, I would have preferred the vocal version. Justine's voice on this track sends me too another Realm... :music::music:

As ever with your sets the buildup is simply stunning!:choonalert:

This is Global Underground era circa 2000....

The golden era of progressive in my opinion.

06. Ayla: Ayla 2010 (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix)
There's been couple times (with Radio Unity) a situation with two or even three great Isma-ae tracks to play but this time they were too good to ignore:) Here Ayla's 1997 uplifting trance classic is nicely brought into the 21st century. This is again a track which suits many different sets and works as a nice bridge from proggy stuff into more trancey territory.

Yeah I have no bad words about remakes like this. It's different than the original and executed well. Maybe bit unnecessary but that's about it. I like to play original track still but a good remake is a good track.

Then if the remake is bad (like too many of are), then my ears almost begins to bleed.
