Got it, and tested the app:)

Of course it's a great app, although it would be great when you could just use your Iphone while listening to the stream, but if you close it now, the stream stops (unlike music in Ipod), but I guess that isn't possible, is it?

this is the case with all iphone software. as soon you go back to the main menu, the software will terminate.

There is a solution of course:

Backgrounder from Cydia (google it)

It works fine :grinning: but may get buggy when too many applications running in the background.
 
Afterhours app is in APP Store FREE, just search for Afterhours :)

I've found with the app that the stream stops when power saving comes on. Even when at home on WiFi. However if I use Radiobox App it works fine non-stop. This goes for either on my dock or just mooching about the house. Anyone else have the same problem?

I beleive I can do some sort of 'reconnect on any failure', the thing is that I haven't seen an issue like that during development. I have a somewhat similar setup to mimic your case - 2 wifi spots in the office, and as I walk from one to another it switches the spot smoothly. I can make something more robust in future.

I've never seen anything like that... Just checked, works fine with locked screen. And it works exactly 30 minutes until phone automatically turns off wifi (unless you have power plugged in, I explained all that earlier on the thread). Any other details you can provide me with so I could possibly reproduce the issue?

The application is slightly sluggish, pressing buttons and sliding knobs is not as neat and smooth as other iphone application.

This can be fixed, but I need graphics for all that stuff. For example, right now any button is only one image. To add a push feel to it, there have to be more - pressed button image, disabled button image, etc... Doable, of course :)

Unless it's something to do with my dock? It just plays until the power saving comes on then goes off. RadioBOX works great though. It's very strange. :( Can't really provide more info as that's about it! :)
 
I'm also finding better playback with radiobox streaming ah at 192.. Wierd. There's also a way to get around the running in the background issue that apple won't let u use. Have an option to load the stream via safari in the QuickTime player. Radiobox does this well, except u can't browse the web but u can do anything else on your phone
 
sry i dont really read the last few posts in detail - is there an update for the already excisting app coming ? or a complete new one ?

the current app is this one:

there is a new app that should be done in early 2010 :)
 
And for all people that have jailbroken their iPhones: With Backgrounder you can listen to Afterhours while doing other stuff on your iPhone:)
 
I've tried a couple of times to install this, both via iTunes and via the App Store on the iPhone, but I always get the following error message:

The item you tried to buy is no longer available
The availability of the item changed while you were using the store. The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere on the store.
 
hey mate were looking into this, seems the app has expired on itunes ...
 
Yeah same with me, I have it on my iPod touch but can't find it for my iPhone :(
