What do you hate about trance?

its simple....hard trance is more of the real epic trancey sound to me than todays usual "recycled" sound of "uplifting". long ago, that was trance was all about. the hard energy that made u want to dance and never stop. as opposed to uplifting, its more of on the softer side, lacking the big room energy that hard trance provides.

and not only that, its the sound im changing over to whenever i want to hear some real banging trance. everybody has a right to their own tastes and to like whatever the hell they want to like.

this is all my 2 cents btw. :cat:

good day to you and bye....

but A-M, you have energetic producers in the uplift field, i remembering now Sean Tyas, John O'Callgahan, Paul Miller, Simon Patterson, Daniel Kandi Thomas Bronzawer and a lote more and for me this guys puts in their tracks what trance is all about, energetic and melodic at the same time.
In the hard trance the energy is there but not the melody IMO.:grinning:

of course, no problem with that :) and AH people like what AH is about :) it doesn't help when some DJs think they know better what we, the listeners like :)

what YOU want to hear is not what everybody wants to hear...

that may be true....however, their sound is too recognizable as of lately if u know what i mean.

and in hard trance, there is definitely melody and energy going up to 145 BPM and over.
perfect examples: Technikal - Terminal Velocity, Iridium - System Critical, Ralph Novell - Wrong Love (Alphazone Remix), Elements - Ahead, etc. :music:

i have no problem at all with that! it just needs to go on a hard trance radio, not on AH!

:book::hmmm:

People who are constantly complaining about what they are hearing.
Naturally, there are those vocal tracks that are pretty bad.

Granted Afterhours.fm may not play the genre I enjoy the most.I do enjoy hearing a variety of music and Afterhours.fm sure does supply that on a regular basis.
When the time comes where I need to hear my style,I know where to find it:music:More than likely it's on my computer already or it is in the middle of downloading a mix!

We all are going to have are opinions and preferences.
Lets not be to harsh people!

Long live EDM!:dancing:

I don't HATE this..but I don't enjoy it as much as the opposite:
-Male Vocals
-VERY GENERIC MELODIES (stuff you've heard on zillions of other songs)
-Messed up "uplifting" melodies.

I'm a hardcore uplifting fan, but some stuff is bad.

deadmau5 is not trance?

why do people keep saying retarded things like that?

i dont consider them trance, more progressive imo, but they still call them trance, all i hear from their sounds is, bump bump bump bump bump repeat thruohg out the whole song.

The trance public in general is satisfied way too easily

I've been thinking the same, and it's absolutely true. Just can't understand people going crazy for some crappy tunes.

Also these:
- You bring a great melodic breakdown like in any superb uplifting trance song, and then when you feel great. Then the chorus starts and you go "what the hell" when you're left with nothing than a few drums and a crappy electro progressive lead. That type of trance songs (usually remixes).
- Track with great melodies and other stuff, but crappy kick drum.
- Track with great drums and other stuff, but crappy melody sounds.

:iagree:

and i also know which producers are to blame for that :P

on the other hand of course, it's the djs to blame for actually playing them...
